The range of parties that are now involved in the provision of energy:
- Distribution Network Operators
- Meter Operators
- Local metering operators
- Inspectors from the utility service providers
- Utility suppliers
- Public Gas Transporters
- Contractors
- Sub- Contractors
- Architects
The stages to a successful project:
Stage 1: Application: On average it can take 5 to 8 weeks for service providers to design and provide their quotations. It can take far longer with certain service providers or if insufficient information was initially provided.
Stage 2: Programming: Once the quotation is accepted and your payment to the utility service providers has been processed, there can follow a 12-15 week delay before the service providers commence the required work.
Stage 3: Supply Registration: Oversights and errors regularly occur in the registration of new supplies, which create additional delay.
Stage 4: On-Site Works: The site works and provisions must be completed in the correct order. With so many parties potentially involved one action out of order will expose the project to delay.
